The Ins & Outs of Facebook Backgrounds- Three Tips

Millions of people from all over the world use Facebook. As such, it makes sense that you would want to customize your page so that it stands out among the countless others. Show people what you are all about, what you love and what you value with a cool personalized Facebook layout. Here are three tips to make sure you have everything you need to select, install or design your own backgrounds.

Ins & Outs of Facebook Backgrounds- Three Tips

Facebook Backgrounds- Three Tips

1) Make sure you have the necessary software

The first step is a technical one. Make sure that you have the plugins necessary to obtain your layout codes and get them seamlessly transferred to your Facebook page. You may not be able to tell whether or not you have the right software until the moment you download the background. It’s a good idea to try one out just to see if it installs correctly. If it doesn’t, often the site will prompt you to download a plugin to get it to work, or there will be a link to the free software right on the same webpage.

2) Do a thorough search for the perfect background

This is the most important step! You want to make sure that you find a cool layout that will reflect your personality, beliefs or what you are into at the moment. However, if you decide that you don’t want your layout anymore, don’t sweat it—you can change it up at anytime by repeating the same process and selecting another one. It’s possible to change your layout daily, weekly, or even seasonally with holiday-appropriate themes.

There are tons of different types of layouts to choose from. Some examples are the following:

  • Fashion
  • Fine art
  • Animals
  • Cities and places
  • Seasons and nature
  • Sports
  • Holiday themes

If you want a layout that you won’t want to change later on, consider going with an abstract pattern or beautiful scenery.

3) Apply selected layout or create your own background

To select the layout you want, first click on the “preview” button to make sure it looks right with your Facebook page, pictures and wall. If you are happy with the appearance, you can then hit “select,” and the page will transfer itself into your profile.
If you are the kind of person who likes to create things yourself or who likes to have something that no one else has, you can also create your own custom Facebook layouts.
