One more step for all Gmail users. Google announced awesome feature E-mail Delegation yesterday. E-mail Delegation easily allows gmail users to manage multiple Gmail accounts without signing in or out of Gmail and switching accounts manually.
This feature until now was only available to Google Apps accounts, and it’s useful for people who want their assistants to have access to read or respond to mail on their behalf. Basically, e-mail delegation was useful for granting others access to your primary Gmail account like for personal assistants.
As per yesterday’s announced feature, this is going to be more useful for any Gmail user with multiple accounts of his or her own that is when anybody sign into primary Gmail account, they can choose to grant access to another account.
Google – Email Delegation
1) For granting another account from Gmail, start by clicking settings from the upper right corner of Gmail account.
From settings click on Accounts tab >>you can see “Grant access to your account” section >> from this section you can grant access to another account,
2) After adding account you have to login with granted account for a verification email.
After verifying new account, a small down arrow will appear just right side of the address on the upper top right corner. And if you click on this arrow you can see you can see account is added and you can toggle between accounts.
3) You can select any account and after selecting from it you can see that account is opening in a different browser tab/ a different window.
With this feature you can operate both the accounts at the same time while signed into your primary account. And when you send a mail from any account while signed into another, it’ll appear as being sent by ….on behalf of …..
5) But if you sign out from any account from it, will sign out from all accounts . Any time you can revoke access for account.
