Hands On Review Of Acer CloudMobile

Acer ’s attempt to venture into the mobile phone market is very much evident these days. The company is also aware of the fact that it had to do something out of the box in order to stand anywhere near Samsung, Nokia and Apple phones.

Acer has worked hard on designing its upcoming new models. The Acer CloudMobile makes its announcement with a bang. As the name suggests, the phone has a close association with the cloud using the company’s exclusive service known as AcerCloud.

Acer CloudMobile

The best part of this Acer CloudMobile mobile phone is that in spite of so many rich features, the device does not make you dig a hole in your pocket. The specification proves that the machine is definitely worth the money. With its stylish looks and high-end features, there are no surprises that the phone has won the design award at the iF 2012.

More on the Acer CloudMobile Phone

Acer CloudMobile Display

One would have to appreciate the efforts taken by Acer to come up with a complete smartphone. Though the phone is not stunningly thin, it is definitely light and handy.

  • The device is compact in spite of its huge 4.3” display.
  • This display features great viewing angles with brilliantly saturated colors.
  • The standout feature of the display is its high pixel density and its high-definition resolution.
  • The display does a brilliant job by showing even the smallest of details without any pixelation.

Acer CloudMobile Build

The build quality of the phone is pretty good with its feather-touch-plastic-make on the back conjugated with stainless steel aluminum finish.

Acer CloudMobile Hardware

The hardware seems to complement the brilliant display and the body of the phone.

  • The device is geared with 1.5 GHz dual-core processor
  • 1 GB RAM which is truly awesome when you consider the fact that Acer is a newcomer.
  • To top it all, the phone features the Qualcomm S4 processor and NFC (Near Field Communication) for faster and easier data transfers.

Acer CloudMobile Performance

On the performance side, the mobile phone comes with pre-loaded ICS which is pretty decent in terms of its user interface. However, Acer has not made radical changes to its user interface for the sake of advanced personalization.

The most noticeable change in the new smartphone is the Acer Cloud service (ACS). This service is a cloud solution which has a better access to iCloud than an ordinary storage service.

It is not a permanent storage solution but a perfect stuff for syncing with personal computers. Objects that are in the cache will remain for 30 days and users do not have to bother about losing their new documents, images, music, etc.

The device that runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) has a mouth-watering 16 GB internal storage capacity.

Acer is promising big with the announcement of this new beast. Technology lovers should be in for a treat very soon (release date could be September). This device is also capable of rising questions against other phones that are more expensive and have lesser features.

It could influence mobile phone manufacturers like Acer to offer similar low-low price points and offer more features.
